At All Saints Parish, we believe that the communal experience of God’s love is foundational for young people, so during this time of at-home worship, we have designed our 2020-2021 youth programs to offer a balance of in-person, at-home, and virtual activities. You may register your young person here. You may find a schedule of activities here.
- In-person: At this time of social distancing, our hope is to continue organizing in-person opportunities for children, youth and families to maintain community. Through the winter we will offer monthly Family Hikes and / or outdoor worship opportunities. See the schedule of activities here.
Please note that changing health circumstances in the community may require that we adjust these plans.
At-Home: All Saints Parish continues to be engaged with our social outreach partners in Brookline and the Greater Boston Area, and the Family Minister collaborates closely with our All Saints Outreach Committee to identify opportunities for families to participate from their homes. We will keep families informed of opportunities in the areas of food relief in Brookline (Brookline Food Pantry), homelessness relief in Boston (MANNA), and education and youth development in Boston’s South End (St. Stephens Youth Programs and their B-READY program), and more.
Virtual — Middle School: Students are invited to participate in weekly Sunday morning zoom gatherings (11:30 am) on The Bible’s Greatest Hits. In a fun, engaging, and technology-enabled way, we explore how the Bible came to be, further develop students’ Bible literacy, and delve into many of the Bible’s most vivid stories. The online experience is supplemented with a care package provided to each young person. We use the contents of the care package to promote a sense of connection and belonging and to introduce a physical element.
Virtual — High School: Students continue their monthly discussion series:Where the Bible Shows Up! A virtual gathering, this conversation takes advantage of the online medium to review major characters and stories of the Bible, exploring their influence in popular culture. In addition, each month, high school students gather via zoom for a World Religions discussion series in which they invite a leader of a faith tradition to join in the conversation. All Saints also offers a confirmation preparation program for high school students when public health conditions allow.
Most weeks Children’s Church (Pre-K – 5th) meets at 9:30, and The Bible’s Greatest Hits (Middle School) meets most weeks at 11:30.
