St. Stephen’s Parish in Boston’s South End is providing bags of groceries to their B-READY families. Right now, the need outstrips the groceries that St. Stephen’s parishioners can provide. The church has asked for our help.
Grocery deliveries are made to St. Stephen’s Church, 419 Shawmut Avenue, Boston, the second (2nd) Thursday of each month, between the hours of 8:45am and 10:30am. We have committed to 50 bags of groceries and 10 containers of laundry detergent per month.
Upcoming 2023 DROP OFF DATES ARE Wednesdays: 6/7, 7/12, 8/9
Please contact either Beth Bourgault or Carol Pineiro for the sign up sheet
We ask that all groceries be dropped off to All Saints Parish no later than the Wednesday morning prior to the Thursday delivery date. We pick-up the groceries Wednesday afternoon, for the early Thursday morning delivery to St. Stephen’s.
For some years, All Saints has been one of the diocesan partners for the B-READY program at St. Stephen’s Parish in Boston’s South End. B-READY offers after- school programs and numerous services to low-income, school-age (K-12) children.
Financial donations are also more than welcome!
At St. Stephen’s Church in Boston, the sanctuary has been transformed into a staging area for the bags of groceries and other supplies that the church has been providing to families in need every single week since the summer. Each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon, these supplies are distributed to roughly 120 families through this mutual aid program of St. Stephen’s Youth Programs (SSYP) that they’re calling “B-LOVE.”
