Can you help prepare the MANNA meal for May? We need volunteers to prepare casseroles in your own homes that will be delivered to the Cathedral of St. Paul on May 24.
Since we can’t follow our usual process for preparing a large meal all together in the church kitchen, for May we will be distributing the workload amongst at least 6 households who will each prepare a large casserole. All ingredients, the recipe, gloves and baking tins will be provided. Each household will pick up the ingredients on Friday May 22, prepare the casserole, and bring it to All Saints on Sunday May 24 between 12-2pm.
Besides the chefs, we will also need:
- One person with a Costco membership to do a relatively light amount of shopping before May 19 and deliver those supplies to All Saints.
- One person who can drive the completed casseroles from All Saints to the Cathedral of St. Paul on Tremont St. in Boston on Sunday May 24. The driver will remain in the car, and a Sexton will come and unload the car and take the casseroles into the cathedral.
The unhoused community, while always at risk, today faces unimaginable challenges as many feeding programs and support systems are diminished or closed completely. This Ministry, which All Saints has been supporting for 4 years, is as important as its ever been.
If you can take on any of the roles we need, please sign up below.⬇️
And if you can’t help with the meal prep, you might consider making a financial contribution to MANNA. Donations of any amount can be made by going to https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/stpaulboston. Please be sure that “MANNA” is chosen as the purpose of the donation.
For I was hungry, and you gave me food.
