Each year during Holy Week, the children and young people (Grades 3 and older) of the parish keep an overnight vigil in the church. Nightwatch begins after worship on Maundy Thursday evening and ends after worship on Good Friday morning. With their adult mentors, participants walk the Stations of the Cross and consider the events of Jesus’ trial, suffering, death, and burial. Then the sleeping bags are unrolled in the worship space, and yes, sleep eventually comes.
Nightwatch 2018: March 29-30. Details will be available in early March.
